01About this product
The frame for anyone whose work will not tolerate an amber cast. The lens here is near-clear, filtering a narrower slice of the blue band than the tinted frames do, and carrying a multi-layer anti-reflective coating on both faces instead. The coating is what cuts the reflection of a window or an overhead light off the lens surface, which for a lot of desk work is the more useful of the two effects.
You can see the coating as a faint green sheen when you tilt the lens to the light; that is the anti-reflective stack, not a tint you are looking through. The frame is a 140 mm rectangle in TR90, a nylon-based material chosen because it is light at 22 g and takes being sat on better than acetate. Microfibre pouch included.

Expect less filtering and no colour shift
A near-clear lens filters a narrower slice of the blue band than an amber one. That is the deliberate trade: you keep accurate colour and lose some of the filtering. If filtering matters more to you than colour, choose a tinted frame.
Position your light, not just your glasses
The anti-reflective coating cuts reflection off the lens, but it cannot fix a window directly behind your monitor. Move the lamp or the screen first and let the coating handle what is left.
Clean coated lenses gently
An anti-reflective stack is the layer most easily damaged by abrasion. Microfibre only, dry or barely damp with water, and never a paper towel or an alcohol wipe.
Fitting these frames
There is one size. Work from the three numbers in the specification table above — 52 mm lens width, 18 mm bridge, 145 mm temples — and compare them with a pair of glasses you already wear comfortably; the same three numbers are usually printed inside one of that pair’s temple arms. If you are within roughly 2 mm on the lens and bridge figures, this frame will sit the same way. Both temples are wire-cored, so an optician can adjust them to your head and the adjustment will hold.

- How is this different from the tinted frames?
- The lens is near-clear so colour stays accurate, it filters a narrower band, and it adds an anti-reflective coating the tinted frames do not have.
- Which should I buy for long screen days?
- If you do colour-critical work, this one. If you do not, a tinted frame filters more. Neither is better in the abstract.
- Is the green sheen a defect?
- No, that is the anti-reflective stack seen at an angle. Every multi-coated lens shows it.
- Do these help with eye strain?
